This hands-on conference for middle and high school girls explores careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Girls who say they do not like science or math, should definitely attend!

Conference Goals

  • To encourage young women to pursue science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) careers
  • To provide STEM role models and hands-on activities for middle and high school girls.
  • To motivate girls to become innovative and creative thinkers ready to meet 21st Century challenges

We are excited to offer a free matinee of "JANE" at the State 1-2-3 Theater at 3:30 PM the day of the conference. The movie tells the story of Jane Goodall, "a women whose chimpanzee research challenged the male-dominated scientific consensus of her time and revolutionized our understanding of the natural world." - Nation Geographic

Who can enter?

All girls between 12 and 18 years old (at time of entry) who are attending the 2018 Women in Science Conference.
