Welcome back to SDDC!
As a hands-on science center, we have mitigation protocols in place to keep the health and safety of our members, visitors, volunteers, and staff top-of-mind. Please review our disclaimer before your visit and consult the current COVID19 risk level for Hughes County at bit.ly/covid-hughesco to decide if a visit is the right decision for your group.
We currently allow only one group visit at a time. Please call 605-224-8295 to reserve your group visit.
Schools and youth organizations are invited to bring their children for fun, educational explorations. We have a special discounted rated for students and youth groups. We recommend an hour to an hour and a half for a visit.
Check out our special enrichment programs for an additional charge! Your students can enjoy a star show in our portable planetarium, engage with the science process in our Bubble Festival or do real world Earth’s Sytem science with GLOBE.
School employees (teachers, bus drivers, aides) are free!
Go deeper into science learning and hands-on discovery. Extend your visit to our exhibit hall with one of our fun, interactive programs.
Due to COVID-19, we will not have any planetarium programs or shows until further notice.
